GRAYS FERRY - A 38-year-old man has died after someone opened fire and shot him multiple times on a street in Grays Ferry.The shooting happened Thursday evening, just after 5:30, on the 1500 block of South Dover Street, according to officials.17th District officers responded to the report of a shooting and found the victim in the street, suffering with multiple gunshot wounds across his body.They rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he died a short time after he arrived.Police are actively investigating the shooting death.

Officials: Driver sought in connection with early morning fatal hit-and-run in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. - Delaware State Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Wilmington.During a preliminary investigation officials said a person was driving an unknown vehicle, possibly a gray or silver Honda, east on Augustine Cut Off near Rock Manor Avenue, early Sunday morning, just after 3:15. The driver ran off the right side of the road and hit a sign, then drove back on the street, still heading east.The car then hit a 79-year-old Wilmington man walking along Augustine Cut Off, near Edgewood Road, according to authorities.

Arrest made after woman stabbed in the head stepping off bus in Frankford, police say

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police say a woman was just trying to get off a bus when she became the victim of a stabbing in the city's Frankford section.The victim, a 44-year-old woman, was stepping off a bus on Pratt and Saul sreets just after midnight when she was stabbed in the forehead by a male suspect.She was transported to a local hospital, where she was placed in stable condition.MORE HEADLINES:Police say a 42-year-old man was taken into custody, and charges are pending at this time.
