Covid-19 infection rates continued to rise despite local lockdown measures being put in place in the area on Thursday night.
Reports have revealed infection rates for the week to Thursday July 30 as showing cases per 100,000 people still rising in every part of the affect Greater Manchester area.Rates have doubled in Manchester and Tameside over the previous seven days, while Oldham’s rate is high and continuing to rise at a fast rate than the rest of the area.Manchester has recorded 34.9 cases per 1,000, Trafford record 39.3 cases per 1,000, while Oldham recorded 58.1 cases per 1,000.Local lockdown measures had been introduced after infection rates had been recorded as increasing last Monday.Manchester Evening News reports the lockdown.
