American actress and GLOW director Lynn Shelton has died following a battle with a blood disorder. The 54-year-old died on Friday after being ill for a week, her devastated boyfriend Marc Maron confirmed.
The comedian, 56, said the film and TV maker collapsed unexpectedly but her death is not thought to be Covid-19 related. Publishing the news on his social media, Marc wrote: "I have some awful news.
Lynn passed away last night. She collapsed yesterday morning after having been ill for a week. "There was a previously unknown, underlying condition.
It was not Covid-19. The doctors could not save her. They tried. Hard." Marc continued: "I loved her very much as I know many of you did as well.
