Luke Bryan has been diagnosed with COVID-19 this month causing him to take a step back from work.That means the country singer, whose single Waves was recently released, will be missing the first live performance this season of his show American Idol for which he serves as judge alongside Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.Former Idol judge Paula Abdul, who launched the series with Simon Cowell in 2002, will step in for Bryan.
