A woman suffering from dementia was in tears as she pleaded for help live on This Morning and said that she was struggling in lockdown.

Theresa called into the ITV daytime show for some advice from Deirdre Sanders over her situation amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Phoning in from Milton Keynes, Theresa told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that she was struggling with loneliness.

She explained: "I have vascular dementia [and] I'm in a 12-week lockdown. I can't use technology, only a mobile so I can't see any of my family." Appearing to get upset, she continued: "It's starting to get to me." "Oh darling," Holly responded.
