Watch: Tiny kitten rescued after getting head stuck in truck frame

ESCONDIDO, Calif. - An 8-week-old kitten is on the mend after the tiny animal got its head stuck in the frame of a truck in California. The driver of the truck was on the road on Monday and heard "meowing sounds" at a stop sign, according to the San Diego Humane Society. California man drives to Utah to kill brother, set house on fire, officials say

LOS ANGELES - A Long Beach man allegedly drove from California to North Ogden, Utah to kill his brother then set his house on fire, according to the Weber County Attorney's Office.Officials say on April 27, Jeffrey Roberts, 66, arrived at his brother's home around 7:11 p.m., parked his van in the driveway, approached the front door and rang the doorbell. His brother, Scott Roberts and his wife were home alone eating when Jeffrey arrived. The two brothers began talking on the front porch and within a few minutes, Jeffrey Roberts pulled out a gun from his jacket and began firing. Parts of the incident were caught on a Ring doorbell camera which the attorney's office has since shared with the public. Both Scott Roberts and his wife were struck by gunfire. Neighbors then called 911 after hearing multiple gunshots. Following the shooting, video shows the suspect exist the house then return shortly with a bag and shotgun in hand.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. - A high-speed police chase took a dangerous turn in Los Angeles County Wednesday evening.A man, initially wanted for reckless driving, led the California Highway Patrol on a chase along the 5 Freeway across Los Angeles County. Over the course of the chase, the suspect traveled through parts of Valley Village, North Hollywood, Pacoima, Santa Clarita and Castaic.The chase eventually ended in the North Antelope Valley area where the suspect ditched the car.

In Colorado River talks, still no agreement about water cuts

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The Biden administration released an environmental analysis Tuesday of competing plans for how seven Western states and tribes reliant on the dwindling water supply from the Colorado River should cut their use but declined to publicly take a side on the best option.On one side is California and some tribes along the river that want to protect their high-priority rights to the river’s water, which they use for drinking and farming. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said on April 6, a woman was with her dog at the local home improvement store in Evergreen. The woman had asked the customer to give her dog a treat in an effort to train the animal. Deputies said the customer agreed and gave the dog a treat, but the dog then bit the customer in the face. "The victim sustained serious injuries and requires facial surgery as a result of the bite," authorities said in a Facebook post.
