Czar McMichael, 22, is facing murder charges after allegedly killing his grandfather and another man in Logan.  PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man has been arrested and faces murder charges after he fatally shot his grandfather and another man who may be a relative in Logan.  PREVIOUS: Police: 2 bodies found inside home of man, 67, missing from LoganAuthorities say the double murder scene was discovered on the 4600 block of North Broad Street in the city's Logan neighborhood at 4:42 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a person with a gun, authorities say. According to police, the decomposed body of a person was found shot on the third floor of the residence and the body of a 45-year-old man was also found fatally shot in the home. Investigators learned that on April 28, 67-year-old Benjamin McMichael went into the bedroom that belonged to his grandson, 22-year-old Czar McMichael, and complained about the condition, police say. When Benjamin McMichael grabbed his grandson's arm, Czar McMichael spun around and fatally shot him, according to police. Days later, on the afternoon of April 30, a witness and 45-year-old Anthony Ham went to the residence on North Broad Street to check on Benjamin McMichael, who they had not heard from for several days, authorities say. According to police, Ham entered the home through a window and then opened the door for the unnamed witness. While checking the home, Ham confronted Czar McMichael on the third floor and they got into a verbal altercation, police say. Authorities say Czar McMichael then shot Ham multiple times before fleeing the home as the witness called 911. He was stopped and arrested on N.

Delaware State Police: 4 hurt, 1 teen killed in 'near head-on collision' in Lewes
PHILADELPHIA - Delaware State Police is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that sent four to the hospital and killed a teenager in Lewes, Delaware. According to police, the crash happened on Friday at 2:10 p.m. Investigators say a Honda CR-V traveling eastbound on Lewes-Georgetown Highway (Route 9) was approaching the intersection at Ebb Tide Drive when a 2009 Ram 1500 traveling westbound on the highway.The Honda failed to observe the stopped traffic and swerved into the westbound lane where the Ram swerved towards the shoulder, state police say. Police say the vehicles crashed "in a near head-on collision" and the Honda overturned and struck a utility pole before coming to a stop. According to investigators, five people were in the Honda, including an 18-year-old male and 17-year-old female from Bear, an 18-year-old female from Wilmington, and a 16-year-old female and 17-year-old male from Middletown. All of the passengers were transported to local hospitals with two having non-life-threatening injuries, two in critical condition and one who died from injuries at the hospital. According to police, 17-year-old Dakhyi Floyd of Middletown was identified as the teen who died. The 77-year-old driver of the Ram was treated and released from an area hospital, police say. Police are still working to determine who was driving the Honda and the crash remains under investigation, according to authorities. ___MORE LOCAL HEADLINES___DOWNLOAD: FOX 29 NEWS APP | FOX 29 WEATHER AUTHORITY APPSUBSCRIBE: Good Day Digest Newsletter | FOX 29 Philly on YouTubeAdvertisementFOLLOW: Facebook | Instagram | Twitter

PHILADELPHIA - Federal authorities say nearly 400 guns purchased in southern states and illegally trafficked into the Philadelphia area have been seized in two interstate gun trafficking cases. According to officials with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, 14 people were charged in the indictment for illegally selling guns from southern states to people in Philadelphia.ATF officials say they met with multiple agencies in April 2021 to come up with a plan to combat rising crime in Philadelphia, including violent carjackings. Authorities say Frederick Norman, Brianna Walker, Stephen Norman, Charles O'Bannon, Devin Church, Roger Millington, Ernest Payton, Kenneth Burgos, Edwin Burgos, Roselmy Rodriguez and Brianna Reed were charged in connection with the first trafficking case in Georgia. RELATED: Ghost guns are a growing concern in Philadelphia as gun violence rises, AG saysFederal officials held a press conference announcing charges for 11 people accused of trafficking guns from Georgia to the Philadelphia-area.  Additionally, officials say three people were charged in the second case involving guns trafficked from South Carolina. According to ATF, most guns used in Philadelphia homicides come from outside of the city. ATF Special Agent in Charge Matthew Varisco spoke to FOX 29 about the issue in December. RELATED: 'The worst spike in gun violence': Krasner addresses rising crime in Philadelphia"What we know from comprehensive tracing, through the ATF National Tracing Center, is that firearms are primarily being diverted into Philadelphia from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania," Varisco responded.

Deon Hudson, 25, is facing charges connected to illegal straw purchases of several firearms.  (Bucks County District Attorneys Office)PHILADELPHIA - Detectives from multiple agencies have announced the arrest of a Philadelphia man accused of illegally purchasing guns from various firearm stores in Pennsylvania. The investigation was a joint operation involving the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, the Office of Attorney General’s Gun Violence Task Force and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. According to authorities, 25-year-old Deon Lamont Hudson of Philadelphia was arrested on Friday. He was charged with 39 counts of unlawful sale or transfer of a firearm and conspiracy to commit the unlawful sale or transfer of a firearm, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office announced.Investigators say Hudson purchased 16 firearms at 8 different gun stores across Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia and Delaware counties between August 2020 and November 2021. According to authorities, he would then illegally transfer the purchased guns to others who cannot legally purchase firearms. Two of the guns were recovered on teenagers within 50 days of their purchase date, according to police. RELATED: Ghost guns are a growing concern in Philadelphia as gun violence rises, AG saysAdditionally, one of the guns was linked to two shooting incidents in Philadelphia, authorities say. Investigators were able to develop their case against Hudson after data showed multiple purchases of the same make, model and caliber of gun within days and weeks of each other, police say. "By using data and intelligence facilitated by our Track & Trace program, this joint investigation linked two of the guns straw purchased by the
