Motorcycle driver killed after collision with SUV in Camden County

BLACKWOOD, N.J. - The driver of a motorcycle died after a collision with an SUV on the Black Horse Pike in Blackwood.The accident happened Friday afternoon, about 1:30, authorities said.During an investigation, officials found the driver of the motorcycle was heading south on Black Horse Pike when a Ford SUV pulled out in front of the motorcycle at Brewer Avenue, in an attempt to make a left-hand turn onto the northbound lane of Black Horse Pike.The driver of the motorcycle tried to stop the bike, but could not and the two vehicles collided.Responding law enforcement and medics attempted life-saving measures, but the motorcycle driver died at the scene.The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.The roadway was closed about two hours. Carjacking leads to police pursuit, one suspect apprehended, authorities say

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are seeking three more suspects after they arrested one for a carjacking that they say ended in a police pursuit. On Saturday, around 9 p.m., officers from the 6th district responded to the 1200 block of Poplar Street for a carjacking. When responding officers arrived at the scene, they spoke with the victim about the stolen car information and the description for the suspects. When one of the officers went over the radio to inform the district of the car details, another officer observed the stolen car traveling southbound on Broad Street. Authorities say the officer activated his lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the stolen car when the offenders took off at a high rate of speed. According to police, at approximately 3:57 a.m., a 35-year-old Philadelphia man in a 2016 Mercedes Benz was traveling southbound on I-495 south of the Philadelphia Pike when it crossed over the partial left shoulder and struck the guardrail. FEASTERVILLE, Pa. - A speeding driver whose car went airborne and slammed into a gas station in Feasterville early Friday morning was pulled from the burning wreckage by two civilians, according to authorities. Emergency crew responded to a Getty gas station on Bridgetown Pike around 1:30 a.m. for reports of a single-car crash. Feasterville Fire Cheif Christopher Cummings told reporters that a speeding car on Bridgetown Pike hit a traffic sign and slammed into a car in the parking lot of a Getty gas station.

Delaware police: 1 killed, 3 hurt in 3-vehicle crash

NEWARK, Del. - Delaware State Police say a woman was killed and three others were hurt in a three-car crash after a car crossed into oncoming traffic. The crash happened Monday afternoon on Old Baltimore Pike in Newark when police say an eastbound Chevrolet Cavalier crossed into westbound traffic, where it hit a Jeep Liberty and a Kia Sportage struck the Jeep. Neither the Chevrolet driver nor his passenger was properly restrained. Police say the driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, but his passenger was pronounced dead.
