Jurgen Klopp ’s side were 25 points clear at the top of the league when the coronavirus pandemic put paid to all football. And their huge lead meant the team were just a couple of wins away from claiming a first league title in 30 years.

But the postponement of the season has put the celebrations on hold and whatever happens from here on in, their brilliant campaign has been tainted somewhat.
