NEW YORK - Six people including a 13-year-old boy were rushed to Jacobi Medical Center after they were struck by lighting at Orchard Beach in the Bronx.EMS responded to the beach in Pelham Bay Park at about 5:20 p.m.

Thursday, the FDNY said. Medics treated and then transported the victims to the hospitalInteractive radar imagery shows a storm cell right over the Bronx at that time.

COVID-19: Vancouver’s Playland reopens with limited visitors The PNE is billing the 2021 event as sticking to the “FUNdamentals.” That means fairgoers will be able to see fan favourites including the SuperDogs and lumberjack competitions, along with live music and farm animals.Rides at Playland will be active and, of course, mini donuts will be in large supply.With the exception of the farm exhibits, which will be in the large, open agricultural building, most events will be outdoors. The SuperDogs, for example, will perform their routines in the outdoor PNE Amphitheatre.

YARDLEY, Pa. - Yardley Borough's police chief has been released from the hospital after he was shot twice at a condo complex on Wednesday. Chief Joseph Kelly was assisting a probation officer at the Yardley Commons on South Main Street when he was shot in the ear and hand, according to Weintraub. According to police, the suspect’s mother was safely removed from the condo while a shelter-in-place order for the surrounding area took effect.  Police escorted young children and babies to safety after they were evacuated from Yardley Kids Academy. Police tell FOX 29 the suspect's mom handed a shotgun over to investigators when they got her out of the condo safely.Chief Kelly was taken to St.
