Lewis Hamilton could face prison time if he flaunts strict coronavirus rules ahead of next weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix. The Hungarian government have introduced severe lockdown restrictions upon British citizens who enter their country, mainly due to images of overcrowded beaches and pubs opening in England.
Formula 1 bosses have sent around a note to teams warning them of the rules for UK and non-EU citizens ahead of the third round of the Championship, which include only leaving either the Hungaroring or accommodation for travel.
Hamilton is the most high profile driver who could be caught up in the law, although McLaren's Lando Norris, Williams' George Russell and many mechanics and other team members will also need to be careful.
