Coronavirus infection rates are continuing to nosedive in all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester. Wigan continues to have the highest rate in the region.
The borough recorded an infection rate of 121.9 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending May 1, according to the latest data from the UK Health Security Agency.
It means it is the only borough in Greater Manchester where the rate is higher than the national average. The rate in the other nine is lower than the national average.
