Coronavirus infection rates are surging across eight boroughs in Greater Manchester. Cases are continuing to rise in a number of areas across the conurbation, with some boroughs seeing infection rates increase by more than 20 per cent week-on-week.

In Rochdale, infection rates have almost doubled in the last seven day period, with cases also rising significantly week-on-week in Manchester and Salford.
