Latest coronavirus infection rates for Greater Manchester as cases go up in four boroughs

According to the latest data analysed by the M.E.N, the overall rate for the region remains at 91 cases per 100,000 people. That is almost double above the national average which is 55.

The number of positive covid cases is still falling at around 5 per cent per week. But there is some variation in the pattern between boroughs.

The number of cases went up in six boroughs in the past 24 hours. The weekly infection rate gives a better indication of the overall trend and it is going up in Oldham, Rochdale, Manchester and Trafford.
