Latest coronavirus infection rates across Greater Manchester - borough by borough - as cases fall everywhere

Coronavirus infection rates are continuing to fall in all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, according to the latest official figures on Sunday.

Stockport continues to have the highest infection rate in Greater Manchester. The borough recorded a rate of 343.3 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending September 15, which represents the latest available Public Health England figures.

The lowest infection rate is in Manchester, where the rate is 216.5 cases per 100,000 people. In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 268.1 cases per 100,000 of the population.

Although cases are falling, that figure is higher than the national average, which currently stands at is 259.0 cases per 100,000 people.
