The region is currently recording 91 positive Covid-19 cases per 100,000. people The national average is 53. A total of 2,593 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on March 27.

The weekly total has decreased by 42 cases which means the overall infection rate was down 2 per cent.. The drop has slowed down because the number of cases is going up in several boroughs.
