Kolkata to see Covid curbs soon in view of Christmas crowds? What experts say

KOLKATA : Health experts and virologists have alerted the West Bengal government against allowing gatherings especially during the New Year festivities.

Suggestion comes a day after Kolkata saw huge crows throng Park Street to celebrate Christmas. The experts cited the rising number of Covid cases in the state.

West Bengal logged four cases of the new coronavirus variant Omicron on Sunday. West Bengal government has relaxed the movement of people and vehicles between 11pm to 5am for nine days from 24 December, 2021 to 1 January, 2022.
