Kerry Katona has candidly opened up on suffering from a terrifying health issue as she admitted she is seeking help to address the "emotional breakdowns" from having a bout of panic attacks.The former Atomic Kitten singer, 43, opened up to fans that she has already sought help from a doctor regarding her mental health who advised the attacks could be PTSD related to triggers from her past which are causing the episodes.A panic attack is a feeling of sudden and intense anxiety which can include symptoms of shaking, rapid heartbeats, breathlessness, dizziness, nausea and sweating.
Although not considered dangerous, they can be extremely frightening for someone to experience.Kerry explained that she "can't breathe" when suffering from the episodes which results in her having an emotional breakdown."I’ve not been feeling great this week – I’ve been having a lot of panic attacks," the star said writing in her OK!
Magazine column. "I don’t know what’s going on. I’ve had them before but not like this."She added: "I feel like I can’t breathe and then I have this emotional breakdown."Kerry further explained her doctor has suggested it could be PTSD-related from her past as panic attacks often have triggers behind them.
She has had a turbulent journey through life so far with tragic losses, a career slump and her "traumatic" relationship with her ex, George Kay, who died in 2019.
