Kerala faced new crises during Covid second wave, says CM Vijayan

Pinarayi Vijayan stated on Friday that, unlike the first wave, the state has faced many new crises during the second wave, amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in Kerala Vijayan said, "During the period from September 3 to 9, the average number of active cases was 2,42,278.

Only 13 per cent of the patients were admitted to the hospitals. Only one per cent of patients were admitted to the ICU. There were 1,87,561 new cases reported during the period.

The number of cases has declined to 21,000 compared to last week.". "The first zero prevalence study of ICMR found that the number of cases in Kerala during the first wave was very low.
