Kate Garraway has opened up on Good Morning Britain about husband Derek Draper's latest health battle as she told of a 'nasty infection' he's suffering.

The Good Morning Britain host gave viewers an update on Derek as she was joined by Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard on the breakfast show.

The mum-of-two has been caring for Derek since he was admitted to hospital with coronavirus in 2021, which caused a string of major health issues for the former political lobbyist.

On the show on Thursday, Kate revealed that Derek has been struggling with a nasty infection this week, reports the Mirror.The star admitted that the infection has "set him back" but revealed he is doing a little better now, and she remains confident about the future.Kate said: "He's had a nasty infection this week that set him back a bit but we're on the right side of it, so that's good.
