Kate Garraway has written a deeply personal book about her husband’s almost year long battle with COVID. The Good Morning Britain presenter said her book will be called The Power of Hope.

According to the TV presenter it will ‘share the raw and emotional story’ of her husband’s Derek Draper’s ‘long fight’ with the disease.

Her husband Derek, 53, has been left fighting for his life since last March. The couples’ children Darcey, 14, and Billy, 11 only got to see their father in December.

Kate said she hopes her book, which is due to be released in April, is something people who are trying to cope with COVID will be able to relate to.
