KATE Garraway was on the brink of tears after winning a National Television Award for her documentary Caring For Derek. The Good Morning Britain presenter, 55, was accompanied by her 16-year-old daughter to the annual event at London's Wembley Arena on Thursday evening.
Caring For Derek was nominated alongside Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next, Tom Parker: Inside My Head, Julia Bradbury: Breast Cancer and Me, and Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family and Autism.
Kate took home the award last year for her documentary Finding Derek, which focused on her husband, Derek Draper, who spent a year in hospital being treated for coronavirus.
During her acceptance speech, an emotional Kate said that Derek is continuing to "fight" and will be home soon after another stint in hospital.
