FLINT, Mich. – A judge plans to hear arguments Tuesday in a dispute over whether Flint water prosecutors charged a former Michigan governor in the wrong county.

Lawyers for Rick Snyder want two misdemeanor charges to be dismissed. They argue that Snyder worked in Ingham County, not Genesee County, so the indictment returned by a one-man grand jury in Flint should not stand.

Snyder, a Republican, is charged with willful neglect of duty. Emergency managers who were appointed by Snyder to run Flint switched the city's water source to the Flint River in 2014-15 while a new pipeline was being built from Lake Huron.

The river water wasn't treated to reduce corrosion, resulting in lead contamination from old pipes. Separately, the water was blamed

Pierson was an 18-year-old Marcus Hook resident who disappeared on April 14, 1981. Her remains were found in July 1981 and an autopsy determined the manner of death as homicide by blunt impact to the head.According to authorities, 58-year-old Wayne Anthony Walker has been charged with criminal homicide, kidnapping, conspiracy, first-degree murder, second-degree murder and third-degree murder.

Waukesha parade attack: Darrell Brooks pleads not guilty, more charges

WAUKESHA, Wis. - A Milwaukee man accused of killing six people and injuring dozens more when he drove an SUV through a suburban Christmas parade pleaded not guilty Friday to scores of criminal charges.Darrell Brooks Jr., 39, entered the pleas to 77 charges, including six counts of homicide and multiple counts of reckless endangerment, during a court appearance that lasted less than five minutes. Brooks' attorneys filed for a change of venue in the case on Thursday, but it's not clear when that motion will be considered.
