Jonnie Irwin has taken to social media to update fans on his health after a worrying hospital dash. The star was admitted with jaundice over the weekend after suffering from an infection.
The former A Place In The Sun host, 49, was tragically diagnosed with terminal cancer last year and has been keeping his loyal flock of followers updated on his social media platforms.
The doting dad is set to celebrate his 50th birthday this coming Friday.Detailing his rush to hospital in a photo posted in the bed, Jonnie said: "I had a fever and acute stabbing pain in my right hand side. "Turns out I probably had an infection and other issues which I won’t bore you with. "Been on drips, regular bloods taken and have observations every 4 hours through day and night."Jonnie has since returned to social media to update his worried fans on Instagram, as he confirmed he has been discharged from hospital and is back home with his wife Jessica Holmes and sons Rex, four, and three-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac.He managed to still smile, despite his ongoing health troubles alongside his snoozing son, as he said he was "so grateful" to be home and thanked all the doctors and nurses for their help.He wrote to his 229k followers: "Well the blood tests and scans today show my liver function is heading in the right direction.
