BALTIMORE - As the United States reached the grim milestone this week of 100,000 deaths from COVID-19, health experts say the coronavirus outbreak isn’t nearly over.

More than 5.8 million people around the world had been confirmed infected by the virus, and more than 340,000 deaths had been recorded globally as of May 29, according to a tally kept by Johns Hopkins University.
