Jo Whiley's sister is back at home after being hospitalised by Covid-19. Frances, who has genetic condition Cri du Chat, had been staying at a care home that experienced an outbreak of the coronavirus, for which she tested positive.
She was rushed to hospital on 18 February, with Jo pulling out of her BBC Radio 2 show. But now Jo has shared a video of her sister thanking followers for their kind words and support.
Jo penned: "It's been a bumpy ride but she's home! Frances would like to say an enormous THANK YOU EVERYBODY!! "It's hard to believe we've gone from discussing palliative care on Friday night to sitting on her beloved bench demanding endless cups of tea." She went on to thank well-wishers for the "tidal wave of love and support"
