PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia mother says her daughter was left alone for hours at daycare after the class left for a field trip to a local amusement park. Dana Jones and her family picketed outside of Creative Kids Daycare Center in Mount Airy on Wednesday morning to publicize their frustration. "This should never have happened to my child and I want to make sure it never happens to any other child," Jones said. According to Jones, the incident happened a little over a week ago when the daycare had a planned trip to The Funplex.Jordyn, 6, was walked into the daycare by her father who even had a brief conversation with one of the teachers.MORE LOCAL HEADLINESJones said her daughter was in the bathroom when she heard the teachers rounding up the students to leave for the field trip. "While she was in the bathroom, she heard ‘hurry up’ and when she came out of the bathroom, there was no one to be found," Jones said.Daycare Director Darrel Davis acknowledged the child was somehow left behind and said they feel awful."It was one of those mornings where it was just a perfect storm of what happened, we are definitely thankful nothing happened to the child, she was perfectly safe," Davis said. Jordyn, 6, told her mother that she was in the bathroom when she heard teachers start to round up students to leave for a field trip. Creative Kids Daycare Center has been in business for over a decade and never had an incident like this, according to Davis. Another parent who was picking up their child found Jordyn all alone and took her to the daycare's other building a block away. "Me getting that phone call, working 30 minutes away, my mind went through so many scenarios," Jones said.

PETALUMA, Calif. - A welfare check at a home in Petaluma revealed a woman who had been dead in her home for over a year, with her daughter living in the same house with her mother's corpse the entire time, police said.Officers were called to the 200 block of Windsor Drive about 11 a.m. on Tuesday and saw piles of 20 to 30 packages stacked up on the porch, which KTVU also observed upon visiting the home. No one answered the door when the officers rang, and having heard concerns from the reporting party, officers decided to enter the house.Once inside, police saw the dead woman on a couch in the living room. "The conditions inside the home were unlivable in that it was filled with clutter, trash and boxes from floor to ceiling.

Doctors have outlined two kinds of people who are more prone to hospitalisation owing to the recent surge in the COVID-19 cases in the national capital. India on Monday reported 14,917 fresh Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the country's active caseload to 1,17,508, according to the Union Health Ministry data.  The data also shows that 14,238 people have recovered from the coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,36,23,804. The recovery rate is 98.54%, while the daily and weekly positivity rate currently stands at 7.52% and 4.65% respectively.  A total of 25,50,276 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered in last 24 hours under the nationwide drive.
