ITV Emmerdale star Malandra Burrows issues health plea after breast cancer diagnosis

Emmerdale star has begged her followers to get mammograms after believing her cancer could have been caught sooner. The 56-year-old actress, who played Kathy Glover in the long-running ITV soap, was diagnosed with breast cancer in February after finding a lump in January.

She says she thinks the cancer could have been spotted earlier had her routine mammogram not been cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Speaking to the Sunday Express, Malandra said: "Since my diagnosis, I tell all ladies to please go and get a mammogram. No matter what age you are, if something seems suspicious, go to your GP.

You won’t regret it.
