Perhaps one of the most surprising aspects of the Covid-19 pandemic was how long it lasted here and then the speed at which most restrictions were lifted.

It was almost as if someone turned the lights back on and we were a bit startled having been stuck in a dark place for so long and the virus lurking in the shadows.

Some had become used to the captivity of the strict rules on social distancing, Covid Digital Certs, and mandatory mask wearing.

At times, it felt like it would never end. But while it largely has in many respects, we must not forget there are still over 600 cases in hospital and over 50 of these still in ICU.
