INDIE band The Vaccines injected a shot of energy into young Brits at their first post-lockdown gig. Fans rolled up their sleeves and threw their arms up in the air to dance as the five-piece group played.
The gig in front of a packed crowd in Kentish Town, North London, on Monday was their first for two years and follows the success of the Covid vaccines.
The band, behind hits If You Wanna and Post Break-Up Sex, said the concert was among their “favourite shows ever”, adding on Twitter: “Last night felt too good to condense into a caption. “Still flying.
Thank you all.” They next perform in September — just before both vaccines will be needed to get into a club. The group also played last weekend at Latitude festival in Suffolk.
