Rep. Brad Schneider, D-Ill., became the third lawmaker to test positive for COVID-19 on Monday after locking down in close quarters with other lawmakers last week as rioters breached the Capitol.
Schneider lambasted his Republican colleagues, some of whom he said refused to wear masks amid the chaos. He called for those that refuse to comply with health guidance to be sanctioned and removed from the House floor. "Last Wednesday, after narrowly escaping a violent mob incited by the president of the United States to attack the Capitol and its occupants, I was forced to spend several hours in a secure but confined location with dozens of other members of Congress.
