AUSTIN, Texas - March for Our Lives is again gathering at the steps of the Texas State Capitol demanding action on gun safety in the wake of the Uvalde, Texas mass shooting.The organization is rallying with the parents whose children were killed in the May 24 shooting at Robb Elementary School, as well as survivors from the 2018 mass shooting at Santa Fe High School and youth activists from across Texas.The rally is to urge Texas Gov. PHILADELPHIA - At least six shootings rang out Friday night into Saturday morning as another summer weekend in Philadelphia became a violent one.The violence began with a fatal shooting in the city's Kingsessing neighborhood when police say a 31-year-old man was killed. He was shot at least four times on the 5400 block of Chester Avenue around 10 p.m. With the next 30 minutes, police say two more people became the victims of two separate shootings.

HEARD COUNTY, Ga. - The owner of a dog rescue group in Heard County was arrested after authorities said they found the animals living in deplorable conditions.Investigators said more than 200 dogs were found on property belonging to Wendy Brewer and Dogs Rock Rescue. Brewer was booked into the Heard County jail on felony animal cruelty charges.Deputies raided the Dogs Rock Rescue after county animal control officers discovered what they said appeared to be deplorable conditions on the property including dead dogs, emaciated dogs, diseased dogs, and dehydrated and hungry dogs.

The new scheme, tentatively called the PM Samagra Swasthya Yojana, will aim to provide universal access to equitable, affordable and quality healthcare.
