A party host was fined for throwing a birthday bash and defying self-isolation rules after a guest told the police he did not "believe in coronavirus." The Derby West response unit of Derbyshire Police received a noise complaint for a birthday party, breaching lockdown guidelines.

The homeowner was handed a £60 fixed penalty notice for breaking UK's strict rules amid the pandemic claims the force. Police also said they did not receive "the warmest of welcomes" when they arrived, with one guest saying they did not believe in the disease, reports Mirror Online.
