David Malkin, a care assistant with North West Ambulance Service, tested positive for coronavirus last spring. The 62-year-old, who lives in Shaw, was admitted to Royal Oldham Hospital last April, five days after he tested positive for the virus, when his paramedic brother called an ambulance.
He said: “I’d tested positive for Covid-19 the week before I went into hospital. “However, five days later I saw my brother, who also works for NWAS as a paramedic, he took one look at me and phoned an ambulance. “From that point I don’t remember much at all.
