Boris Johnson has announced today that the country will be divided into three coronavirus alert levels, to combat the spread of the virus.
The Government will attempt to simplify lockdown restrictions by placing England into areas of medium, high and very high alert.
Areas on 'medium' alert, which will be the majority of the country, will consist of current national measures, including the rule of six and the 10pm curfew. The high alert level will ban all mixing between different households or support bubbles indoors, but the rule of six will continue to apply outdoors.
