A family have donated over £5000 to a hospital who saved a Kilmarnock man's life.The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at University Hospital Crosshouse has received a generous donation from a former patient and his family.David O’Hare and his wife, Nicola, donated a staggering £5319 as a thank you to the ICU that treated David.In February, the family of four all contracted COVID-19 and David was admitted to University Hospital Crosshouse.Shortly after, on the couple’s wedding anniversary, David deteriorated and he was placed on a ventilator.Nicola said: “Thankfully and thanks to the amazing work of the staff in ICU, David was one of the lucky ones and made it home in March after five weeks.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all
