NEW DELHI : The union health ministry’s central procurement agency--- HLL Lifecare Limited formerly Hindustan Latex Limited (HLL) unearthed a company from Singapore who tried to dispatch millions of substandard Chinese KN95 masks in 2021 to India by forging third party inspections certificate, two senior officials of the health ministry said on Tuesday.  A central procurement agency i.e. HLL Lifecare Limited was finalized in February, 2020 to accelerate emergency procurement of essential medical commodities during the covid-19 pandemic.

TRENTON, N.J. - A person is dead after at least four cases of Legionnaires’ Disease popped up in one New Jersey county over the past several months, according to the Department of Health.Officials say two cases were reported in Mercer County this month. Both cases reportedly originated from Hamilton Township, which is served by Trenton Water Works.Two other cases were reported in April 2022 and December 2021.One of the four people infected with Legionnaires’ has died, according to officials.

TRENTON, N.J. - The gas tax in New Jersey will fall by a penny a gallon, or about 2% — the second straight year the levy has declined, Gov. Phil Murphy's administration said Monday.The tax rate combines two different levies that are commonly known as the gas tax in the state and would fall from 42.4 cents a gallon to 41.4 cents."Because actual consumption in Fiscal Year 2022 was moderately above our projections made last August, and consumption in the current fiscal year is projected to be slightly above last fiscal year’s levels, our analysis of the formula dictates a 1.0 cent decrease this coming October," said State Treasurer Elizabeth Maher Muoio in a statement.
