When the 58-year-old journalist returned on-air, she shared that her daughter Hope was in the intensive care unit for several days.

Two years before that, Hoda announced that she adopted a baby girl, Haley Joy. “My youngest, Hope, was in the ICU for a few days and in the hospital for a little more than a week,” Hoda said on the March 6 episode. “I’m so grateful she’s home.
