WASHINGTON - The hearing for a woman who police say shot her husband in a D.C. hotel room after she alleged he was molesting children at her Maryland daycare, has been moved to Friday officials say.Shanteari Weems, 50, of Randallstown, Maryland, is facing assault and firearm charges after police say she shot her husband then barricaded both of them inside their room at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel last week.The Baltimore Police Department has confirmed that Weems' husband is James Weems, Jr.

a former officer.He retired from the department in 2005. But he continued to work for the department as a contract specialist until 2008.According to court documents, officers arrived at the room around 7:40 p.m.

Thursday and began speaking with Weems through the door. Police say they asked Weems if there was a person who had been shot inside the room, to which she replied "he's a child molester."Court documents claim Weems told officers that she had been married to Weems Jr.

Weems said she owns a childcare center in Baltimore County and that she had recently received multiple calls from parents of the daycare accusing her husband of molesting their children, documents say.Weems confronted her husband about the allegations, court documents say, before the situation escalated and she shot him.

mental health, according to a new survey.New research from the app FREE NOW says that over half of people polled see music as a reason for their closest friendships, with 31 per cent saying they met their partners through a connection with music.85.7 per cent of those polled said that listening to music is an important part of maintaining positive mental health, with 83.9 per cent having been moved to tears by music in their life.38 per cent of people, meanwhile, said they already knew what they wanted their first dance at their wedding to be, even before they met their partner, while nearly half (48.5 per cent) said they had been influenced by music when changing their appearance during their life.Two-thirds also said that their local grassroots music venue was a vital part of the cultural make-up of their hometown.In a statement reflecting on the study, FREE NOW General Manager Mariusz Zabrocki said: “The importance of music was never in doubt but it’s great to see confirmation of just how vital it is to people’s daily lives and of course, especially interesting to FREE NOW to see confirmation of what a big part it plays in travel plans.
