A "healthy" 24-year-old woman died suddenly while on a dream work trip leaving her family 'shaken to the core'. Jessica Welsby, from St Helens, Merseyside, had travelled to Melbourne, Australia, as part of an international exchange programme with the company she worked for.
The young accountant was having a great time but after just five short weeks, her family received the tragic news that Jessica had died.
Her death was was caused by Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS), a genetic heart condition that can cause sudden death but often goes unnoticed when the person is young and healthy.
Family members have spoken to the Liverpool Echo about Jessica's devastating death in August 2019 as the first anniversary of her death approaches.
