Coronavirus infection rates across Greater Manchester are continuing to plummet, with all but one of our 10 boroughs falling below the national average.
Wigan is the only area across the region above the average infection rate for England, with the town's rate currently standing at 135.8 cases per 100,000 people.
Cases fell by at least 19 per cent week-on-week in all ten boroughs, and by as much as 40 per cent in some. Wigan has the highest infection rates across Greater Manchester, with Manchester having the lowest.
Across the region as a whole, the average infection rate now stands 111.9 cases per 100,000 people. A total of 3,172 people tested positive in the week to Sunday, April 29, 1,658 fewer than the week earlier.
