His wife and children were badly injured.The man who caused it tried to run, but a witness chased after him and kept him from getting away.The good Samaritan says it was instinct and adrenaline that caused him to swing into action that day, and he says he's still affected by it.Justin Gonzalez is the good Samaritan who pinned down a drunk driver trying to run from the scene of the fatal crash he caused."I wanted him down.

I wanted him done with. I wanted the cops to be there to get him," he said.Gonzalez recalls that unfortunate day in 2021.With a bystander recording, Gonzalez is seen tackling now-convicted felon Dylan Molina and frustratingly cussing him out in the process. PHILADELPHIA - A man has been hospitalized after he was shot on Tuesday night. Authorities say officers responded to the 4700 block of Bingham Street in the Crescentville section of the city just before 9 p.m.According to police, three armed suspects pulled a 42-year-old man from his car in a driveway. The man was shot in the neck before the suspects fled north from the driveway in a dark-colored vehicle, officials say. Officials say the scene was held and no arrests have been made.

COVID-19 has taken a minimal toll on most people’s mental health globally, according to a recent study published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ). But a separate study shows that finding may not hold true for children.In fact, the pandemic increased mental distress for kids, a newly-published study led by the University of Calgary shows, leading to a sharp increase in emergency department visits for attempted suicide and suicide ideation among children and adolescents under the age of 19 years old.Nicole Racine, a clinical psychologist and assistant professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa, said she believes children were forgotten about during the pandemic and they are one of the vulnerable groups that suffered the most from lockdowns.

BENSALEM, Pa. - A young girl awoke to a terrifying nightmare when police say she found a grown man beside her in her own bed.Police were responding to a burglary in progress on the 300 block of Thunder Circle in Bensalem when they were alerted to the incident.The 9-year-old victim ran out of her room when she woke up next to a burglary suspect wearing just underwear, according to authorities. Police say officers responded to Pennsylvania Hospital for a 19-year-old gunshot victim who was dropped off by a private vehicle early Wednesday morning just before 3 a.m. According to authorities, two suspects were inside the vehicle, believed to be a Nissan, with the victim. PHILADELPHIA - The New Jersey coast was hammered by a powerful nor'easter that battered beaches dealing with erosion issues that have undergone multi-million dollar replenishment projects. Ocean City recently wrapped up a $24.5M project that added over a million cubic yards of sand to the beach from 14th street to Seaview Avenue. Locals believe this week's storm that brought everything from tropical storm force winds to rain and snow to areas along mid-Atlantic coast wreaked havoc on the recently finished project. "All of that sand hasn't really set yet, so it just gets wiped away when we get bigger storms," said local surfer Cooper Lysinger, who enjoyed the large swells produced by the late-winter noreaster.
