ITV bosses have pulled flagship show Good Morning Britain off air between Christmas and New Year amid Covid fears – in an unprecedented move.
Telly chiefs made the call yesterday amid mounting concerns among staff and presenters, who have agreed to gingerly soldier on until the end of this week.
But while the final pre-Christmas shows will go ahead, presenters have been asked to do their own make-up and nobody else will be allowed in the studio.
Shows scheduled for the mid-festive period will now be pulled entirely and replaced with another show, while the edition on Christmas Day has already been pre-recorded.
