Good Morning Britain has faced a major presenter shakeup as Kate Garraway was forced to extend her leave for a second week. The host, 55, normally presents the ITV show on a Thursday and Friday, but was notably absent from today's instalment (July 28) which was fronted by Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh.

Derek, 54, has been battling many major health issues after contracting Covid-19 in March 2020.The former Labour political advisor was admitted to hospital a few weeks ago after suffering a "downturn," with Kate saying at the time that she was "keeping her fingers crossed" that his health could improve.Kate was forced to pull out of GMB last Thursday (July 21) and was replaced by ITV regular Charlotte Hawkins, 47.While presenting alongside Ben Shephard, the pair sent their love best wishes to Derek, while also thanking viewers for their kind messages of support.Addressing Kate's absence, Ben said: "We are missing a member of the team, aren't we?"Charlotte responded: "We are, yeah.
So Kate's taken some time out to be with Derek at the moment so we are sending lots of love. Lots of you have been in touch with messages of support, so we wish him well."It is unknown when the I'm A Celeb star.
