Glastonbury 2020 should have celebrated 50 years of the Worthy Farm festival. Instead it’s the festival that never was, being cancelled in March due to the coronavirus crisis, just days after the first set of artists was confirmed.
At the time organiser Emily Eavis said they were “very proud of the bill”, and described this year’s festival as the “greatest show on Earth”.
Friday’s Pyramid Stage headliner was due to be Kendrick Lamar, making his Glastonbury debut. Sir Paul McCartney was confirmed as Saturday’s headline act, returning to Worthy Farm for the first time as 2004, while the festival was due to be closed by Taylor Swift on Sunday night.
