Glasgow Warriors vs Edinburgh postponed as 1872 Cup clash shelved following Covid outbreaks

The clash between Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby has been postponed due to a number of positive Covid cases in the Scotstoun camp.

The two sides were set to meet as part of a festive 1872 Cup double header in the coming week.Monday night's clash was set to take place in the West End before a January 2 meeting over in the capital in the United Rugby Championship, the fate of which is still unknown.

But then followed news of huge absences in the Edinburgh squad - 17 in all thanks to both Covid and injury - before the postponement was confirmed on Monday afternoon after an outbreak at Warriors.
