LOS ANGELES - As if there isn’t enough anticipation for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, groundbreaking K-pop group BTS is reportedly coming out with a brand new song for the event. US gas prices tick up, ending 99-day streak of lower costs

HARRISBURG, Pa. - A 99-day run of falling gasoline prices — a streak that gave consumers a glimmer of hope that red-hot inflation might be cooling — has ended, with pump prices still much higher than a year ago.The nationwide average price for a gallon ticked up less than a penny Wednesday, to $3.68 a gallon, according to AAA. That's down from the record $5.02 average in mid-June.The question now is whether Wednesday’s increase is just a blip or the precursor to the return of higher prices.

REDDING, Calif. - The Shasta County Sheriff has released video recording of their interrogation of Sherri Papini of Redding, who was sentenced this week to 18 months in prison for faking her kidnappings so that she could be with an ex-boyfriend in Southern California. In the video, investigators told Papini they knew she hadn't been abducted because all DNA evidence was from her and the ex-boyfriend – not the two Hispanic women she falsely claimed were responsible for taking her while she was out for a job.The ex, James Reyes, submitted to a lie detector test, where he confessed to what happened.As they question her on Aug. 13, 2020, she breaks down in tears. The conversation went like this: Detective: He passed the polygraph test, Sherri.Papini: No. Detective: If that's not what happened, then what did happen, Sherri?Papini: I don't know.

Friends, family hold balloon release to honor woman killed after a deadly argument in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA - A large group gathered in North Philadelphia on Tuesday night to say goodbye to a sister, daughter, friend, and mother of two, who lost her life in a double shooting on Sunday morning."Her little boys are gonna miss her. Her family, you know, so sad," says Serena Stokes, of Mount Airy. Police say a fight broke out just after 5:30 Sunday morning on Lehigh Avenue. Authorities say someone opened fire, critically wounding a man in his 30s. Then, the fight spilled over to 17th and York Streets where investigators say 32-year-old Jones lost her life.Jones’ sister, Vanessa, said she wanted to honor her sister in a way that she would be proud of, so friends and family gathered, bearing white and yellow balloons."I know everybody loved her.
