Gareth Bale endured a Covid scare after swapping shirts with Spurs pal Matt Doherty who later tested positive. Bale is available to captain Wales on Wednesday at home to Finland in their crunch final Nations League Group B4 decider.
But Irish right-back Doherty is back home self-isolating after testing positive following Sunday's 1-0 defeat in Cardiff to Wales.
Spurs defender Doherty,28, was pictured embracing club-mate Bale at the end of the game. MirrorSport understands the team-mates and keen fellow golfers also later exchanged shirts after the match.
It left Bale concerned at potentially exposing himself to the virus but he has since tested negative. The Wales captain,31, who out-jumped Doherty for David Brooks' winner, admitted:
