Derek McInnes has blasted the SFA’s Covid protocols after three of his players were forced into self isolation after returning from Under-21 duty.
Aberdeen have been rocked by the news that Ross McCrorie, Lewis Ferguson and Connor McLennan will miss the next three games after being caught up in the Scotland Under-21s Covid outbreak.
The SFA revealed on Saturday morning that 11 of the squad and two members of the coaching team were self isolating. It came after three of Scot Gemmill’s squad tested positive for the virus after returning from a game in Greece on Wednesday.
The trio must isolate for 10 days and the 10 close contacts for two weeks. His team face Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday, after the Hoops could only draw 2-2 with Jack Ross’ men.
