More than a quarter of Britons has been given the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine since the country's biggest immunisation programme began in December.
According to government figures published on Friday, 16,875,536 have been vaccinated - the equivalent of 25.3 per cent. The rollout is currently focused on over-65s and those aged between 16-64 with underlying health conditions.
It is expected that over 60s, 55s and 50s will be invited for their first dose within just a few weeks. And although Whitehall sources have branded it mere "speculation" there have been reports of over 40s potentially getting their jab in the next few weeks too.Read more on mirror.co.uk
